Innovations and Extended Deployment Options All Available Under Single License Model for Customer Flexibility and Choice
Qlik today outlined multiple innovations in multi-cloud and augmented intelligence that are establishing Qlik as the leading enterprise, SaaS-based analytics platform company. Built around the core Associative Difference® in its data analytics platform and its cloud-native, Kubernetes-based architecture, Qlik is now able to deliver Qlik Sense® Enterprise exclusively on Qlik Cloud® Services. This aligns the Qlik® analytics platform with customers’ cloud-first corporate strategies, enabling unparalleled deployment choice and flexibility and a seamless experience for users. It also makes Qlik the leading modern BI and analytics platform vendor to provide broad multi-cloud deployment options, all available under a single subscription licensing model.
“Enterprises want insights at scale throughout their organization and across their ecosystem, and need flexibility and choice when deploying analytics. Qlik is meeting those needs head on with our latest innovations in multi-cloud and augmented intelligence,” said Mike Capone, Qlik CEO. “With our SaaS-based platform, Qlik delivers real-time data and analytics to organizations where and how they need insights, helping them lead with data when solving their most difficult challenges.”
The multi-cloud and augmented intelligence enhancements in the April and June releases of Qlik Sense Enterprise advance the central aspects of Qlik’s vision for the 3rd generation of business intelligence: the democratization of data, augmented intelligence and analytics embedded everywhere. This vision demands that all data be available, requiring a modern cloud-first approach to data discovery and delivery. It enables increased data literacy through technology, augmenting users’ access and consumption of data through the cloud. And it leverages SaaS-first access to applications and data through the cloud to activate analytics from the C-Suite to the edge of an organization. By democratizing data and making it universally accessible through these models, an enterprise’s analytics strategy can drive insights, improve decision-making and transform the organization.
Multi-Cloud and SaaS-First – The Enterprise Choice for Analytics
Enterprises need an analytics platform that leverages the cloud across the entire organization
regardless of where data resides. Unlike many vendors that dictate a cloud strategy based on their
agenda instead of their customers, Qlik is the only leading analytics vendor to provide broad, multicloud deployment options, all available under a single subscription licensing model.
“Qlik is leading customers’ ability to achieve scale and discover insights that drive significant
transformation through our cloud-native, Kubernetes-based architecture,” said Mike Potter, Qlik CTO. “Our unique approach provides the flexibility, elasticity, and portability that modern analytics use cases demand that directly impacts an organization’s ability to leverage data for business results.”
With the latest release of Qlik Sense Enterprise, Qlik now enables users to deploy Qlik Sense Enterprise entirely on Qlik Cloud Services, Qlik’s SaaS environment. Additionally, businesses can choose to deploy Qlik Sense Enterprise on Kubernetes in the public or private cloud of their choice. And all deployment options for Qlik Sense Enterprise – including Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows – now work cohesively as part of Qlik’s multi-cloud deployment framework that can be managed as one instance. Customers now truly have cloud analytics choice through a single platform with Qlik.
Additional features and benefits include:
- Full certification on Google Cloud Platform, Amazon and Azure, with ability to support Red Hat OpenShift
- Ability to deploy and manage multi-site, multi-cloud deployments as one
- Deployment options with a new management experience that simplifies management of users, content and licenses across multiple environments
- Simple subscription license model that incorporates both on-premise and cloud usage
Augmented Intelligence – Associative Insights Bring Hidden Meanings in Data to Life
Building on its industry-leading augmented intelligence and machine-learning capabilties, Qlik recently debuted a new integrated element in its analytics platform called Associative Insights. This powerful new feature combines Qlik’s associative and cognitive engines to suggest hidden insights in data, directly expanding a user’s data literacy by augmenting their intelligence as they explore their data. The Qlik Associative Engine uniquely identifies data values that are unrelated to a user’s selections or questions. The cognitive engine now can analyze those unrelated values and reveal the most significant insights that might have been overlooked. With Associative Insights, users are prompted to ask new questions previously left unexplored, leading to transformative new discoveries and “aha!” moments.
Associative Insights is the most recent example of Qlik’s commitment to building augmented intelligence and machine learning directly into its platform. This expands on existing capabilities such as Insight Advisor, which auto-generates and suggests the best analytics and insights to explore based on the overall data set and a user’s search criteria, and Qlik’s precedent-based machine learning which allows the Qlik cognitive engine to get smarter over time, continually learning from user interactions, feedback and other input sources. Qlik’s augmented intelligence and machine-learning capabilities are truly unique because they work directly with Qlik’s associative engine, combining the power of AI with human intuition.
Qlik Sense – The Platform for the Enterprise Analytics
The breadth and depth of Qlik Sense allows organizations to meet the broadest range of analytics use cases from a single platform, leading to consistent, data-driven decision making. The Qlik Sense June 2019 release will include innovations in augmented intelligence, including expanded natural language search support for Insight Advisor and expanded user reach for precedent-based learnings directly imported into Qlik Cloud Services. Qlik Sense June 2019 will also include:
- A suite of Qlik Sense SaaS products for groups and teams, with a seamless, digital trial path
- Direct connections in the cloud to additional applications such as Salesforce and SAP
- The ability to access QlikView® applications through Qlik’s cloud
- A Qlik Sense Mobile for Blackberry client and a containerized version of Qlik Sense Mobile built for Blackberry Dynamics EMM, supporting advanced management and security for BYOD (bring your own device) environments
- Support for the Mobile Iron EMM platform, along with mobile collaboration with push notifications for Android and iOS applications
Qlik Sense Enterprise now also includes features that make it easier for QlikView customers to adopt Qlik Sense for dual-use. This includes a new unified licensing capability, which allows organizations to unlock both QlikView and Qlik Sense with a single license key, and integrated links to QlikView apps from select Qlik Sense environments. The integrated links to QlikView apps from Qlik Sense environments provides customers with a single place for their end users to go to access any Qlik app. These features further Qlik’s efforts to make it as seamless as possible for organizations using QlikView to add Qlik Sense to take advantage of the latest innovations in Qlik’s overall platform.
