Ajeenkya D Y Patil University (ADYPU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with five Thai vocational colleges.

The five Thai colleges are Charansanitwong technological college, Pongsawadi technological college, Tharn technological college, Ayutthaya technological commercial college and Chonburi technological college.

Through the collaboration, ADYPU will facilitate advanced education to the students of both Thailand and India in artificial intelligence, machine learning, Internet of Things, augmented and virtual reality and others. Indian students will also visit Thailand to experience their culture and also learn from the institutions. At least 50 Thai and Indian students will benefit from the collaboration annually.

Ajeenkya D Y Patil University is spearheading its education 4.0 model and is imparting knowledge across diverse interdisciplinary new-age areas.

Hrridaysh Deshpande, director ADYPU said, “As an innovation university we are always keenly observing the changes around us and responding to these changes with new ways of thinking. Education is not only about doing but also thinking. Therefore we feel we should address the new age challenges with wisdom more than knowledge.

The complexity of today’s world is that the problems are not linear and the solutions may lie outside the ambit of the disciplines. We have to reframe these challenges and instead of addressing the symptoms and go to the root cause of any problem and solve it. We are looking at creating a model of what to learn and how to learn rather than what to teach and how to teach.
