Google, like many other big tech companies, is all-in on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Then again, should anyone be surprised at all?
This is Google we are talking about here, a company that has long prided itself as an innovator, a leader in driving the world of tech forward, and an AI-first company.
Indeed, Google is all-in on AI, dabbling as well in generative AI, which Thomas Kurian, CEO at Google Cloud, previously described as “fundamentally changing how people interact with technology.”
And Google is making sure people can interact with generative AI seamlessly, productively, and safely.
“At Google, we’ve been responsibly developing large language models so we can safely bring them to our products,” said Kurian back in March when the company unveiled generative AI capabilities in both Google Cloud and Google Workspace. “Our goal is to continue to be bold and responsible in our approach and partner with others to improve our AI models so they’re safe and helpful for everyone. We’re excited by the potential of generative AI and the opportunities it will unlock—from helping people express themselves creatively, to helping developers build brand new types of applications, to transforming how businesses and governments engage their customers and constituents.”
A couple of months later, Google launched Duet AI in Google Workspace, described by the company as a “powerful new way of working” made possible by a seamless collaboration with—what else?—AI. Specifically, Duet AI for Google Workspace embeds the power of generative AI across Google’s pioneering productivity tool, enabling its millions of users worldwide to write, organise, visualise, and more with the help of the latest advances in AI.
In many ways, Duet AI in Google Workspace is a natural evolution of the generative AI features Google previously released in Gmail and Google Docs. This latest innovation is redefining how people are getting things done, utilising the game-changing features of generative AI to be more productive and more efficient—not to mention more creative and more empowered, all in less time.
But Google is not stopping there. Of course not. Google does not rest on its laurels and instead pushes the envelope as far as it can.
It is doing the same with Duet AI in Google Workspace, packing it with even more features and capabilities so that it can be even more helpful to its users—and more useful to businesses that use it.
This never-ending, ever-evolving goal of leading innovation is the overriding theme of the Google Cloud Gen AI Media Summit specifically organised by Google to discuss in depth the latest innovations in AI—and generative AI, in particular–that the company will be introducing. The highlight of the one-day summit, scheduled for October 17, is two hands-on sessions where Google will demonstrate to its media friends how Duet AI in Google Workspace can be used by professionals to be more efficient and productive at work—or, as mentioned earlier, to change the way people interact with technology.
And, of course, Disruptive Tech News will be there to cover it all for you, our dear readers.
Stay tuned for more!
