Covering Disruptive Technology Powering Business in The Digital Age

CloudMile, a leading Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud service company, has announced it is partnering with The College of Management of National Taiwan University (NTU) for an integrated curriculum to facilitate industry-academia integration.

It is a new normal for enterprises to adopt cloud computing, especially with the rise of generative AI technology, which has driven a new wave of huge cloud computing demand. Followed by this industry trend, enterprises are gradually facing the next challenge of “cloud talent shortage.” It is a key issue for the industry and academia to help campus talents cultivate cloud literacy and cultivate cloud talents to connect with the campus.

The College of Management of NTU has always been committed to cultivating the talents that enterprises need and has built interdisciplinary industry-academia cooperation from programming languages to data analytics. The College of Management is collaborating with CloudMile to offer an integrated curriculum for the Business Analytics program.  This includes Google Cloud-authorised training courses to bring real-world enterprise experience to the campus while also bridging the gap between industry and academia.

Dean Shing-yang Hu of the College of Management of NTU said: “For students, cloud computing courses with hands-on labs not only allow them to grasp the latest industry trends but also enable them to learn and grasp technical skills, such as cloud and machine learning from a business decision-making perspective, which will be beneficial for their future.

A Longstanding Commitment from CloudMile

Through this collaboration, the cloud provider has also seized the opportunity to deeply engage with the campus community, with the goal of fostering a deep understanding of cloud computing among students.

As an Authorised Google Cloud Training Partner, CloudMile offers a series of Google Cloud-authorised training courses on cloud infrastructure, Big Data analytics, Machine Learning (ML), and AI. These courses cover both fundamental concepts and practical implementations, enabling beginners interested in learning about cloud computing to quickly grasp the usage scenarios and value of Google Cloud services.

In collaboration with the College of Management of National Taiwan University, CloudMile technical trainers are set to deliver cloud courses that include an introduction to Google Cloud, identity and access management, compute, storage, networking services, containerisation, and logging and monitoring.

It also includes the processes, challenges, and benefits of building a big data pipeline and ML models with Vertex AI on Google Cloud. In addition to sharing cloud knowledge and successful case studies, these courses provide hands-on labs. Trainers guide students to understand the benefits of cloud technology and gain practical insights into how organizations can effectively protect and manage their resources in the cloud.

Aiming for More Collaborations with Other Universities

The footsteps of cultivating cloud talents never stop. CloudMile is planning to open applications and collaboration opportunities to all universities in Taiwan, aiming to nurture more future cloud talents for the industry.
