Pandawa Agri Indonesia has announced a significant milestone in its sustainability journey with the successful publication of Environmental Label Type III, Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certificates for its flagship product, WEED Solut-ioN®️.
This significant milestone underscores the company’s commitment to sustainability by voluntarily declaring the environmental footprint of its product. EPDs are globally recognised, standardised documents that provide transparent and verified information about a product’s environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle.
Pandawa Agri’s EPD for WEED Solut-ioN ®️ outlines the product’s environmental impact in key areas such as raw material consumption, energy and water use, waste generation, and emissions. This data is generated through a rigorous Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and independently verified by an internationally acclaimed third party.
WEED Solut-ioN ®️ is formulated using non-toxic, naturally derived ingredients, offering a safe and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional chemical weed control methods. With the EPD certificate, customers can now compare the environmental impact of WEED Solut-ioN ®️ against any alternative offerings, allowing them to make data-driven decisions for their agricultural operations.
The EPD certificate positions Pandawa Agri as a leader in sustainable agricultural solutions in Indonesia. Currently, Pandawa Agri is the only company in the country to publish an EPD under the basic chemical product category rule.
“We are incredibly proud to be the first company in Indonesia to publish EPD for a basic chemical product,” said Kukuh Roxa, CEO of Pandawa Agri Indonesia. “This certificate will empower our customers to make informed decisions about the environmental impact of their agricultural practices. By choosing WEED Solut-ioN ®️, they can significantly reduce their reliance on traditional pesticides and their associated greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) footprint.”
Pandawa Agri Indonesia: Committed to Transparency and Sustainability
Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) serve as a vital tool in providing transparent and credible information regarding a product’s environmental impact throughout its life cycle. Publishing EPD aligns with Pandawa Agri’s dedication to delivering eco-friendly products and advancing sustainability across its operations.
“Transparency is paramount in today’s agricultural market,” Kukuh continued. “By publishing EPDs for our products, we are not only helping our customers meet industry standards for transparency, but we believe this will also give them a competitive edge in positioning their own products and companies. We believe it will ultimately benefit the entire agricultural sector in the world, particularly in Indonesia.”
