July 29, 2024 Press Releases

Databricks, the data and AI company, announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Meta to launch LLaMA 3, a new standard in open-source AI, to enhance the capabilities and accessibility of AI tools for developers and businesses worldwide.

Databricks is a close partner of Meta, and one of very few platforms that provide clients with the full suite of functionality on top, ranging from model evaluation, tool use, agentic workflows, and continued pre-training.

With Llama 3.1 natively integrated within Databricks, Databricks customers can:

  1. Build high-quality GenAI applications without compromising on ownership and customisation;
  2. Simplify the application-building process;
  3. Use Mosaic AI to serve and fine-tune the Llama 1 models, connect them seamlessly to Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and agentic systems; and
  4. Easily generate synthetic data for their use cases, and leverage the models for scalable.
