Big Data Malaysia Meetup: The Art and Science of Predictive Analytics

We are happy to announce to you our next meetup, where the name of the theme will be The Art and Science of Predictive Analytics. It will be held onTuesday of November 17th, 2015 from 6.00p.m. to 10.00p.m. at The Co., Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
We will be featuring three of our renowned Speakers, namely Jaden Teo from Quandatics, who will be covering on the topic of Advanced Analytics, which is currently the centerpiece of Big Data, touching on how we move from descriptive to predictive and finally be prescriptive with data analysis.
Hema Latha Krishna Nair of Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, will be providing an educational overview of predictive approaches and metrics in Big Data, that might be useful for modelling real-world scenarios.
Fabian Chan from SEEK Asia (the company behind South East Asia’s leading job boards – JobStreet and jobsDB), will be speaking that day to share with us his journey of failures and successes in predictive analytics; starting from weather, to hospitals, to academics, to flight schedules and now, the jobs market. We hope the values he brings us in this special meetup, would benefit those of us on that day, who will be, or plan to embark, on similar paths.
