Big Data software specialist Fusionex International plc (LON:FXI) has launched the latest upgrade of its award-winning analytics platform GIANT.

The group said that GIANT 2016 is a significantly upgraded version of its Big Data analytics software, and is the most complete platform of its kind to date.

The platform could open up new addressable markets for the group, expanding the reach of its offerings and represents a key milestone in its growth strategy, it said.

“We are already seeing considerable demand from potential customers, both big and small, for our new platform, underpinning our confidence in the significant growth opportunity Fusionex GIANT 2016 represents for the group,” said chief executive Ivan Teh.

The GIANT platform compiles comprehensive real-time data in a centralised location to enable easy access and monitoring.

It is able to connect directly to any data source and uses natural language processing capabilities – meaning users can simply ask the platform questions – analogous to a search engine.

The platform also allows data scientists to perform advanced predictive analysis to uncover hidden information in data.
