A new IDC Innovators report published by IDC titled, IDC Innovators: Artificial Intelligence–Powered Automation Solution Providers in Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan), profiles four companies that provide artificial intelligence (AI)-powered automation solutions. The four companies are: Active.AI, Clobotics, Taiger, and X0PA.

AI-powered automation solution or intelligent automation is much more than intelligent robotic process automation (RPA). It is a way to support, augment, and sometimes automate many aspects of a knowledge worker’s tasks to improve operational efficiency, increase robustness and flexibility, create space for the workforce to release their creative intelligence, and kick-start the man–machine collaborative learning cycle.

As more technology vendors work to re-engineer complex workflows and processes, the rise of intelligent automation has reduced the need for human oversight over many business processes. This includes processes such as due diligence, customer onboarding, claims processing, preventive maintenance, asset management, and hiring.

“With the next phase of Digital Transformation (DX) approaching, companies are looking for various ways to make use of the data to further their journey in the Future of Enterprise. As such, AI-powered automation vendors have come to the forefront with innovations that allow various tasks to be automated,” says Jessie Cai, Senior Research Manager for Big Data and AI at IDC Asia/Pacific.

The new report IDC Innovators: Artificial Intelligence–Powered Automation Solution Providers in Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan) profiles four vendors in this field. Each vendor has worked closely with end users and successfully developed a sizable customer base in their focused industries.

  • Active.AI automates customer-facing conversations for financial service institutions, providing modularized solutioning and advanced integration capabilities. It also supports multiple regional language support.
  • Clobotics embeds “deep learning” algorithms into processes for distributed asset management. It works uniquely in a hardware-software integrated end-to-end approach to put AI at work in the industrial space.
  • Taiger automates complex and cognitive workflows focusing on financial services and public sector use causes. It uses AI to access information, extract meaning, and develop semantic context from both structured data and unstructured content.
  • X0PA automates the hiring process to achieve a higher level of objectivity. It applies machine learning, natural language processing, and video analytics to predict the best fit between hiring companies and individual talents. It also seamlessly integrates with existing platforms in an end-to-end hiring and talent management process.
