Inneonusa Sdn Bhd, a tripartite joint venture between Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), UEM Sunrise Berhad (UEM Sunrise) and Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) recently launched its Smart City Urban Design Guideline (SCUDG) and Smart City Centralised Monitoring Services (SCCMS) for the delivery of a smarter living experience in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. The centralised monitoring services is an essential service model offered by its existing Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) that was launched in 2016.
The launching ceremony was officiated by Tuan Haji Adib Azhari Daud, Iskandar Puteri City Mayor, Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of UEM Sunrise, Datuk Ir. Khairil Anwar Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer, IIB and Akram Mackeen, Chief Executive Officer, Inneonusa.
The SCUDG, developed by Inneonusa, is a smart city guideline to support the vision of Iskandar Puteri as a Smart City for township, residential, offices, technology parks and retail malls. It aligns with the vision and mission of Iskandar Puteri Municipal Council (MBIP), UEM Sunrise, IIB and other developers to deliver a holistic smart city living experience in the city.
Meanwhile, the SCCMS set-up in Iskandar Puteri is a 24-hour managed security monitoring service by certified and licensed personnel. In the event an incident is triggered, the SCCMS subscribers will be contacted for verification and a response team will be dispatched immediately.
Tuan Haji Adib Azhari said, “Today’s ceremony marks a new journey in the vision of Iskandar Puteri Smart City as an ideal place to live, work and play. In line with MBIP’s vision and mission, SCUDG seamless integration of vertical and horizontal solutions will ensure a smooth journey of a smart city particularly in Iskandar Puteri. The right service experience and meticulous design with systematic infrastructure implementation is the key to a sustainable and developed city and contributing to economic growth in Iskandar Malaysia.”
Akram said, “Inneonusa via TM is able to provide a Smart City platform by leveraging on TM’s integrated core infrastructure, including connectivity, data centres, ICT and cloud services. This means, Inneonusa is able to support the current stakeholders of Iskandar Puteri city-wide ecosystem. The SCUDG further enables us to develop the industry’s business best practices and operating processes together with our stakeholders, to deliver better experience and value to everyone within Iskandar Puteri and potentially beyond. We will continue our effort in provisioning greater ICT services and facilities across all sectors, strengthening our effort in nation building towards becoming a digital nation country.”
He added, “Inneonusa’s safety and security centralised monitoring service is available for all Iskandar Puteri residences and businesses at RM80 per month. This service can also be requested on a pay-per-use basis.” The monitoring service is in compliance to Inneonusa’s SCUDG and the service can be easily replicated to other developments throughout Malaysia.

Dr James Tee, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Medini Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MIM) said, “This collaboration is aligned with MIM’s aspirations of shaping Medini City into a smart, green and sustainable city. Residents and tenants in Medini City are able to experience and enjoy a full spectrum of unique and secured monitoring systems that will further enhance the liveability standards of Medini City.”
In Iskandar Puteri, the service is available for the various property development projects owned by UEM Sunrise, IIB, MIM, as well as other developers in the area.
