As one of Malaysia’s leading lifestyle property developers and a wholly-owned subsidiary of KSK Group Berhad, KSK Land is excited to reveal its technology roadmap that places emphasis on utilising technology and data to power its business operations in order to spearhead innovation and experimentation within the property sector, which comprises several initiatives including: the Discover YOO8 microsite; the all new 8 Conlay mobile app; an in-house dynamic property pricing and valuation engine; and upcoming partnerships with internationally recognised tech vanguards that emphasise innovation.

Understanding the importance of infusing technology into the property owner’s journey, KSK Land aims to create a lifestyle property ecosystem that encompasses the entire lifecycle from the early stages of design and construction to property management. By harnessing the power of data and technology, KSK Land will be able to remain in tune with the needs of its customers in order to craft personalised experiences and offers that fits with their needs and desires.

“As a lifestyle and design property company, our goal has always been to create a vibrant and sustainable ecosystem. We use technology and content to create platforms for the various communities to culminate and leverage on each other’s expertise and value. For example, our very own 3D virtual dreamscape world launched in commemoration of this year’s Chinese New Year, enabled viewers to immerse themselves in the 8 Conlay dreamscape portal and discover the inspirations behind our residential towers,” said Joanne Kua, Chief Executive Officer of KSK Group and Managing Director of KSK Land.

“By combining data with our own in-house technological initiatives, we aim to design sustainable, future forward developments that bring together like minded communities, taking into account the surrounding hyperlocal urban environment.” added Kua.

Among these initiatives include the Discover YOO8 microsite, which offers both existing owners and potential buyers access to construction progress updates on the branded residences, down to each unit level. This feature truly shines when viewed in the newly revamped 8 Conlay mobile app that offers a plethora of innovative features to enable seamless integration of the 8 Conlay lifestyle for homeowners. For its first development phase, the app will provide homeowners construction progress updates of their personal units via isometric layout drawings as well as access to progressive billing functions. Additional exciting features will be introduced to the app in phases, including smart home management, tenant management, remote elevator calls and analytics, enhanced messaging features to connect with Kempinski’s Lady in Red for access to all of 8 Conlay Kempinski Hotel Kuala Lumpur’s à la carte services, marketplace and more.

The revamped 8 Conlay mobile app offers a suite of features that will provide a seamless digital experience for homeowners at 8 Conlay. For its first development phase, homeowners will be able to keep tabs on the construction progress of their personal units via isometric layout drawings, while progressive billing functions enable them to easily keep track of the status of their invoices.

Homeowners can easily keep track of their individual unit’s construction progress in the 8 Conlay mobile app. This will be displayed via 3D renderings that will steadily evolve through different stages of construction. Each update also includes estimated percentages for the different components that make up each unit which are categorised as structure, architecture, mechanical & electricity, and interior.

As a lifestyle and design property company, technology has always been an integral part of KSK Land’s endeavours. This includes being one of the very first few developers from the private sector in Malaysia to utilise BIM 7D, a nifty tool wherein property management is conducted in real time using data to enable preventative measures to be managed remotely using a centralised data-focused system.

“One of the biggest challenges in managing sustainable developments is the inability to be agile, particularly when responding to changes. Many involved parties such as consultants and contractors are required to go through complex procedures and tremendous amounts of paperwork, which in turn leads to the need to increase costs, manpower and time,” said Kua, “The key to addressing these challenges is data and technology. A real-time data driven BIM facility management for example, will allow managers to coordinate their strategic preventive maintenance planning and ensure the building’s operational efficiency with minimum possible cost.”

KSK Land will also be revealing more new technology ventures and partnerships, including a first-in-Malaysia partnership with a global urban innovation organisation to empower KSK Land’s future developments through real-time data driven feasibility and massing studies. This will help power the development of its in-house data-driven pricing and valuation engine, which will enable the company to customise and personalise its unit offerings in its future developments.
