Maxis To Work With MDEC’s IoT Solutions Providers

Telecommunications giant, Maxis, will be working with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation’s (MDEC) Internet of Things (IoT) solutions providers to further strengthen the IoT ecosystem for businesses by offering innovative solutions.

Maxis Head of Business Solutions, Enterprise, Claire Featherstone said with the company’s proven track record in the IoT space and expertise via its partnership with Vodafone, solution providers which collaborate with the telco can potentially widen their customer base.

“Together, we can build awareness on the benefits of IoT solutions and bridge the gap between customers’ needs and the solutions available from partners,” she said in a statement today.

Maxis’ IoT offerings include the mDrive, a fleet tracking solution which is used internally for its own business operations, enabling businesses to reduce costs and promote safer driving habits, within the fleet management of a company.

MDEC Director, Data Economy Division, Dr Karl Ng said: “Data technology adoption (IoT, Big Data Analytics and ArtificiaI Intelligence) is about creating value from data.We are pleased to see the collaboration and sharing of experiences and insights for local and global IoT business opportunities which is in tune with MDEC’s mission to spur the growth of the Malaysian economy.”
