Value-driven approach to empower communications service providers with sustainable digital transformation

Nexign, a leading Business Support System (BSS) and the Internet of Things (IoT) platform provider, announced expansion plans into the Southeast Asia region as part of its international growth strategy. The expansion milestones include ambitious recruitment plans to triple its headcount and establish local offices in preparation for ongoing digitalisation and the upcoming launch of 5G networks.

By 2025, the Asia Pacific region is expected to have 3.9 billion smartphone connections, in parallel to the rapid migration to higher speed mobile network. Meanwhile, 5G is starting to gain a foothold in the region, with 5G connections expected to reach 675 million across Asia Pacific by 2025, accounting for more than half of the global total 5G users.

To help traditional communications service providers (CSPs) capitalise on digital transformation opportunities, Nexign will present a complete suite of value-driven software products and services in areas of customer acquisition, network monetisation and customer service. This move will see Nexign developing  its presence in Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore.

“Increasingly, CSPs are tasked to manage a highly-complex eco-system and marketplace as they embark on more partnerships with Over-the-Top (OTT),social media providers  and other industry players. Moreover, large-scale Internet of Things (IoT) connections present challenging commercial and technical conditions that CSPs in the region have to contend with. Nexign’s expertise is in the deployment of large and complex revenue management and customer care systems at a highly-competitive total cost of ownership. We are confident in helping CSPs capitalise on new capabilities and access new revenue streams as they embark on their digital transformation journey,” said Andrew Tan, Regional Director, Southeast Asia at Nexign.

With 27 years of track record in large BSS transformation projects for tier-one clients including  MegaFon,  Rostelecom and Turkcell, Nexign is recognised by prominent industry analysts including IDC, GlobalData and Analysys Mason for its agile product and services portfolio and open cloud architecture that accelerate time-to-market.

For the second consecutive time, Nexign has been included in Gartner’s  Magic Quadrant for Integrated Revenue and Customer Management (IRCM) for CSPs. According to Gartner, IRCM meets ‘’all transaction-charging processing requirements, regardless of product, service, delivery network, customer type or payment method for a particular CSP. It also includes a set of integrated customer- and network-facing solutions that support customer acquisition, retention and monetisation functions’’. Nexign was evaluated on its digital BSS product.

Nexign Digital BSS is an end-to-end platform that delivers full-stack BSS functionality to drive CSPs’ digital transformation to the cloud and in the 5G era.  It’s built on a solid foundation of a converged billing and a real-time network monetisation platform across channels, enhanced by centralised product management and an innovative digital OpenAPI layer to support the revenue stream diversification of CSPs seeking to become digital service providers.

“This recognition by leading industry analysts is a testament to Nexign’s capabilities in helping CSPs transform their business models and accelerate digital transformation. With our expertise and strategic product portfolio that emphasises cloud-readiness and 5G monetisation, there are significant opportunities for Nexign to extend our footprint in the Southeast Asia region,” said Igor Gorkov, CEO at Nexign.
