The Dengue virus is spread by mosquitoes in tropical countries and can lead to death. Malaysian scientists have developed an AI that can predict the rate of spread of the disease in 3 months.

Virus infection Dengue has become a global problem for mankind. Over the last decade has increased the number of cases of infection. Every year a million people on the planet suffer from Dengue fever, half of them in urgent need of hospitalization, and 13 thousand die.

The Creator of a new AI Desi Raja from the Institute medical research of Malaysia said that existing methods are not effective, so he created an AI that provide the ability to predict epidemic outbreaks.

The system known as AIME (Artificial intelligence in medical epidemiology). It works on the following principle: the doctors are sending the notification of cases of dengue fever, which are automatically fed to the system. Then AIME by over 90 databases for 276 variables that affect its distribution ranging from the local landscape and elevation to precipitation, thunderstorms, accumulation of water and population density. Thus, the system displays the data about potential outbreaks within a radius of 400 meters.

AI was already tested in Malaysia and showed a good result, as the cases in the state decreased by three quarters.
