U Mobile, the award-winning mobile and digital services provider, and FGV Prodata Systems Sdn. Bhd, an information and communication technology (ICT) service provider that is a subsidiary of FGV Holdings Berhad (“FGV Group”), have announced a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC). The MoC is aimed at leveraging U Mobile’s 5G-capable modern network and solutions to enhance FGV Group’s connectivity and digital infrastructure as part of its business transformation objectives.
This partnership will see U Mobile’s modern, scalable, and 5G-capable infrastructure support cutting-edge enterprise solutions like managed network services for FGV Group and its stakeholders’ operations, including branches, plantations, factories, mills, bulking stations and headquarters.
The MoC will also see both parties co-creating and deploying innovative digital platforms and solutions like smart agriculture, smart building and smart surveillance which would enable FGV Group and its stakeholders to reap the benefits of automation and digitalisation, such as increased efficiencies and savings on operational costs. The MoC also outlines the commitment by both parties to offer training programmes to upskill employees and partners in new technologies and digital tools, to maximise the potential of the digital transformation initiatives.

The MoC was signed by Norfazidah Abu Bakar, Chief Corporate Services Officer of U Mobile, and Fakrunniam Othman, Group Divisional Director, Logistics and Support Division of FGV HoldingsBerhad, during Hari Peneroka FELDA 2024. It was witnessed by Wong Heang Tuck, Chief Executive Officer of U Mobile and Nor Marhamah Yahya, General Counsel, Group Legal of FGV Holdings Berhad.
To mark the collaboration, U Mobile participated in this year’s Hari Peneroka FELDA 2024, bringing unbeatable experiences like VR gaming with 5G and live football matches to add on to the event’s festivities. U Mobile also powered the entire event with 5G, ensuring all attendees have quality internet access and enabling smooth cashless transactions for the participating vendors.
